Once it detached, it slipped and drove a 3 inch spine into my abdomen, sending me to the ER for a little surgery. What is it? Unknown, but it’s Bridgesii dominant and the single spines get extremely long on mature growth. What *is* known is that it’s spicy AF … in my usual process of “gathering first hand knowledge” of these plants, what I considered a small bioassay dose prevented me from getting much work done that day.
