It was growing at the base of a tree, up through and supported by the branches, so he gave it the acronym NPTCC — North Phoenix Tree Climbing Cactus.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eA portion of this stand displayed unique monstrose characteristics, the grafting and propagation of which proved to be persistent.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eThis he named NPTCCM — North Phoenix Tree Climbing Cactus Monstrose.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003eWhen I first saw it last year in the collection of Oakes Austin (IG @oakesplants) I exclaimed “that’s the most satisfying fuckin Trike I’ve seen in a looong time, what the fuckin fuck is it?!”.  Since then I’ve been propagating it, and have taken the liberty of changing the name from NPTCCM to Havran, which is the last name of the talent scout who found it.
