💎👑💎 Havran — Established Multi-Pup Graft on Spachianus
Established Havran graft on Spach rootstock. The rootstock is spindly and floppy and sad looking, but I promise it’s healthy. With all the pups, this would make a big head start on any Havran propagation plans.
Clone Info: Havran came from a Trichocereus stand of unknown lineage discovered by Greg Havran in Phoenix. It was growing at the base of a tree, up through and supported by the branches, so he gave it the acronym NPTCC — North Phoenix Tree Climbing Cactus. A portion of this stand displayed unique monstrose characteristics, the propagation of which proved to be persistent. This he named NPTCCM — North Phoenix Tree Climbing Cactus Monstrose.
When I first saw it in the collection of Oakes Austin (IG @oakesplants) I exclaimed “that’s the most satisfying fuckin Trike I’ve seen in a looong time, what the fuckin fuck is it?!”. Since then I’ve been propagating it, and have taken the liberty of changing the name from NPTCCM to Havran, which is the last name of the talent scout who found it. (Not yet tested 🌶️)

“👑“ means Kingstock, usually reserved for named clones or rarer cultivars. “💎” means extra primo, sometimes due to the nature of the cut (extra fat, rare shape etc). 🌶️” means that it packs a ceremonial punch, two “🌶️🌶️” is my highest ranking, and no ranking means either that it lacks much potency for ceremonial use, or I have not yet tested it. My asessments of potency are based only on anecdotal personal experience, and are for purposes of valuing collectibility, not consumption.
