I took one of the nicest, fattest E.R. cuts I’ve ever listed and … heartbreak … dropped it on its tip. Good job Trev! The mushed part has been cut away and sulphured, revealing that the apical meristem (growth point at the tip) is perfectly intact. It’s just cosmetic, and growth will continue at the tip. Listing this otherwise beautiful 12” E.R. Mega Tip with a $40 blemish discount (the last E.R. mega tip was 149)
Clone info: This one sent me to the emergency room … I was supporting a heavy arm while a friend was sawing it off. Once it detached, it slipped and drove a 3 inch spine into my abdomen, sending me to the ER for a little surgery. What is it? Unknown, but it’s Bridgesii dominant and the single spines get extremely long on mature growth. What *is* known is that it’s spicy AF … in my usual process of “gathering first hand knowledge” of these plants, what I considered a small bioassay dose prevented me from getting much work done that day. It humbled me once, then humbled me again, in two very different ways.
