💎👑💎 Tulhuayacensis — Fat 9” Tip
Tulhuayacensis from the Lotusland collection, thick 9” tip to be cut upon purchase. Marked down from 159 to 119 for the New Year’s Sale.
Notes: This is certainly one of the rarer Trichos on the farm. I have a friend that was a Docent/Guide at Lotusland who was allowed to take cuttings on occasion. She described it as “dumpster privileges”, because cuttings were only available from trimmings. I got this as a small tip in 2020, and i only listed two cuttings since then.. Note — it’s difficult to find many photos of Tulhuayacensis online, and this one looks different from Patrick Knoll’s example on Trichocereus.net. His looks more like a super spiny Cuzco, while this one looks like a top shelf fancy pants Peruvianus. I have the other clone too (the magenta flower one) and they do look different. Not tested yet 🌶️.

“👑“ means Kingstock, usually reserved for named clones or rarer cultivars. “💎” means extra primo, sometimes due to the nature of the cut (extra fat, rare shape etc). 🌶️” means that it packs a ceremonial punch, two “🌶️🌶️” is my highest ranking, and no ranking means either that it lacks much potency for ceremonial use, or I have not yet tested it. My potency assessments are based only on anecdotal personal experience, and are for purposes of valuing collectibility, not consumption.
The cut you see here is the cut you get, unless noted as an inventory listing. All plants are hard grown rough-n-tumble … outdoors in the ground without shade control, so these soldiers have adaptive fortitude 💪. Keyword 1228sun
