💎👑💎🌶️ CareBear — established tip graft on TPM. Will be cut for a total length of 12”.
CareBear is my favorite pink-blooming Tricho for a variety of reasons, starting with how it was never expected to turn out pink — it’s Torres & Torres x OP. Also, for a pink blooming Pedro, you don’t see any Zelly / Grandi traits (for example, with Jones Pink, you can tell it’s a Zelly cross). The deeply notched and recessed areoles with short spines give it a distinctive look. CareBear also holds the most sentimental value of anything in my collection, for reasons I won’t dive into here. Large rooted tip graft here, dug up for listing this morning. (Note: CareBear is spicy too! Unlike Jones Pink, which is about as spicy as a bell pepper)

“👑“ means Kingstock, usually reserved for named clones or rarer cultivars. “💎” means extra primo, sometimes due to the nature of the cut (extra fat, rare shape etc). 🌶️” means that it packs a ceremonial punch, two “🌶️🌶️” is my highest ranking, and no ranking means either that it lacks much potency for ceremonial use, or I have not yet tested it. My potency assessments are based only on anecdotal personal experience, and are for purposes of valuing collectibility, not consumption.
The cut you see here is the cut you get, unless noted as an inventory listing. All plants are hard grown rough-n-tumble … outdoors in the ground without shade control, so these soldiers have adaptive fortitude 💪.
